The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Information Systems Specialist to provide technical support for the staff of the Department of Athletics.
The Information Systems Specialist position exists to provide technical support for the Athletics Information Systems office and Athletics Department staff in an effort to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of both Windows and Macintosh computers, have a passion for customer service, and have significant experience delivering computing solutions to high-level users. Responsibilities include:
Anticipated Hiring Range: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00, depending on qualifications. The selected candidate will pass a background check. This is a exempt-level, full-time position with UVa benefits. Employees benefits package highlights include:
Required Qualifications Education and Experience: High School degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline preferred. Experience: At least three years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Computer Applications: In-depth knowledge of both Windows and Mac operating systems. Familiarity with various mobile device technologies. Preferred Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred. Experience: Experience providing technical support in a collegiate setting. Familiarity with UVA information technology protocols and systems. Computer Applications: Familiarity with JAMF and KACE system administration. Licensure/Certifications: UVA LSP Pro certification.
