As a member of our Hardware Team, you will support the design, development, and manufacturing of Verkada's full product line. Verkada's Hardware Sustaining Engineers ensure that we are always shipping high quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and debug field failures in collaboration with electrical and mechanical engineers
  • Support products from initial mass production through end of life
  • Follow-up on RMA trends, report on quality/RMA status to cross functional teams, and drive corrective action back through manufacturing as necessary
  • Review and define quality test standards to minimize design quality issues
  • Audit and evaluate JDM quality systems, define manufacturing quality metrics, monitor production quality, and work with JDM partners to drive continuous improvement
  • Work with JDM on continuous improvement on yields and process/test stability
  • Work with the JDM partners on qualifying new component sources
  • Work with the Hardware team through EVT, DVT and pilot production to help ensure a high quality product


Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, MS preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in developing and manufacturing new electronics products
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Pay Disclosure

At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. This estimate can vary based on the factors described above, so the actual starting annual base salary may be above or below this range. This estimate is also just one component of Verkada's total rewards package. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
