YAGEO Group is currently seeking a Field Application Engineer in California. At YAGEO Group, you'll have the opportunity to put the "Fun" and "Entertainment" in FAE. If you like helping customers, sales and product teams find solutions to design challenges; then the FAE role is for you. YAGEO Group Field Application Engineers (FAE) will travel with their sales team within their assigned territory to meet with a diverse group of customers at the forefront of innovation. The ideal candidate should have an outgoing personality, an interest in learning about new technologies, and a desire to collaborate with some of the top names in the electronics industry.

As an FAE, you will learn YAGEO Group's products and their applications to assist customers' product development engineers with the technical aspects of their design. Working with customers, the FAE will help uncover technological trends and translate their needs to our Product Business Unit (PBU) managers for incorporation into product development roadmaps. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and help others throughout the organization by conducting educational training and creating technical content for the design engineer.

Your focus design disciplines will include Low Voltage DC, AC / Power, EMI, and Sensors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:



  • Develop application expertise, ranging from digital processing to high power inverters, in target markets (Computing/Telecom, Industrial, Defense/Aerospace, Medical, Consumer, etc.)
  • Develop deep product knowledge across all YAGEO Group brands
  • Maximize cross-sell opportunities for YAGEO Group products with customers
  • In conjunction with sales, be the technical liaison between the customer, product managers and manufacturing teams
  • Systematically funnel customer data to the business unit development teams and marketing for inclusion in product roadmaps
  • Provide technical training on new products and technologies to customers and sales personnel (direct, manufacturers' representatives and distribution)
  • Provide feedback to Marketing, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams about the competitive environment, market acceptance of devices, and identification of opportunities and features for new products/product areas
  • Define, develop and deliver sales tools
  • Answer technical questions in a timely fashion and resolve technical objections
  • Contribute to the expanding ecosystem of our digital design tools
  • Participate in industry groups critical to our core business
  • Participate in industry events, tradeshows, and customer events


Deliverables:



  • Sales calls, call reports, selling tools (presentations, technical information, demos), articles, application notes, etc.


Requirements:



  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years Engineering experience, preferably with semiconductor company or power supply design
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present and moderate highly technical materials to diverse audiences
  • Excellent proactive problem-solving experience with demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and simulation tools.
  • Requires up to 25% travel
