SchoolLink , an outgrowth of ParentLink, offers trusted information, support resources, and connections for school professionals in Missouri. ParentLink provides parenting information anyone raising a child in Missouri, using a variety of delivery methods to ensure comprehensive support. Since 1989, ParentLink has served tens of thousands of Missouri families as well as service providers working with them. ParentLink became the Help Me Grow (HMG) Missouri Affiliate (HelpMeGrowNational.org) in 2015 and continues as such, joining 27 other states to focus dedicated attention on health and well-being of young children.

Job Description

  • Analyze requests related to concerns of school professionals and based on analysis, provide appropriate problem-solving support, research-based information, and referrals to services. Offer services through a variety of mediums including but not limited to telephone, social media such as Facebook and Twitter, e-mail, texting, and in-person.
  • Complete data intake and entry for each inquiry in a timely manner.
  • Stay apprised of the research on best practices in school-based mental health through ongoing training.
  • Work with professionals across the state to coordinate services for families.
  • Conduct follow-up on cases in targeted communities to ensure that each school professional served was able to connect to resources provided and if additional action is needed. Identify gaps in services and barriers to receiving services, documenting in an online system.
  • Continually review and make recommendations to SchoolLink Policy & Procedures as relates to best practices.
  • Offer referrals to complementary resources for appropriate supports (e.g., 988, ParentLink, TEL-LINK).
Shift

20-25 hours per week during the working hours of M-F, 8am-5pm with some evening and weekend shifts (as needed)

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in school counseling, behavioral health, social work, education, health administration, or related field.

* School-based professional experience, preferably as a school-employed professional in school-based mental health (e.g., School Counselor, School Nurse, School Social Worker, School Psychologist)

* Strong attention to detail

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Successful at working as a team

* Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Strong skills in problem-solving and navigating systems

* Positive attitude

* Flexibility and adaptability to change

* Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Word and Excel as well as social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter. Ability to learn new computer programs.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $22 - $29 per hour

Grade: GGS-008
