Responsibilities Norton Orthopedic Institute, a part of Norton Healthcare based in Louisville, KY, is recruiting a total joint replacement / general orthopedic surgeon at Norton King's Daughters Health located in the picturesque town of Madison, IN.The selected candidate will join an established group, supported by front office and clinical staff, and receiving referrals from a large network of providers. Nurses specialized in orthopedics serve as navigators to help support patients through their clinical and surgical journey. Norton Orthopedic Institute's comprehensive team of fellowship-trained physicians and advanced practice providers specializes in adult orthopedic care, including adult total joint replacement, general orthopedics, sports medicine and orthopedic oncology. The team provides services throughout Greater Louisville, supporting Norton Healthcare's system of seven adult acute-care facilities in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Norton Healthcare was the first system in the country to be designated an Advanced Center of Excellence for Orthopedics & Spine by DNV. Norton Healthcare provides nearly 60% of the health care for Greater Louisville, and accounts for nearly 47% of the inpatient and outpatient orthopedic market share. It joined the Louisville, Kentucky-based Norton Healthcare family in 2022. The physician is responsible for recording a detailed medical history of each patient in the electronic medical record, including, but not limited to, chief complaint, present condition, individual history, and family history. Performing appropriate physical examination of each patient. Analyzing reports and/or findings of tests and personal examinations in order to assess the medical condition of the patient, including diagnosing the patient's injury or illness and formulating a prognosis.
