JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Singh Lab (Nutrition and Microbiome) is seeking two undergraduate or master's students (part-time) interested in gut microbiome-related research and advancing knowledge on intestinal immune activity in response to nutrition (dietary fiber) interventions. The hourly paid work opportunity is present during the summer of 2024. The successful candidate will be expected to:

* Perform wet-lab experiments: Process specimens from experimental mice and analyze them via ELISA, immunohistochemistry, qPCR, Western blotting, etc.

* Assist interdisciplinary team with the project's principal investigator, and

* Provide scholarly support to collect the pertinent literature and contribute to writing paper(s).

If you are a highly engaged undergraduate student with an analytic, proactive learning style, able to work with diverse teams, skilled in communications, and capable of mixed methods studies and inquiry approaches, you are highly encouraged to apply.
