Job Summary: The overall responsibility of the Associate General Counsel (AGC) is to assist the University's General Counsel in supporting the operations of the University's Office of Legal Affairs. Included among the various duties of the AGC, this position is involved in labor and employment counseling, compliance and litigation.Job Description: * Providing management counseling in the areas of labor and employment with respect to FOIA requests AGC Duties Also Include: Serving as the University's Ethics Officer with the following specific duties:
Serving as the University's Title IX Officer with the following specific duties:
Performing other tasks and duties related to general legal matters as specifically assigned by the University's General Counsel. Minimal Qualifications: A law degree from an ABA accredited law school. Admission to the Illinois Bar in good standing. Minimum of ten years' experience as a practicing attorney. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in Higher Education (particularly with public universities) and experience within a collective bargaining setting. Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 Other Information: Applications will be reviewed on July 15, 2024 and will continue until the position is filled.
