Job Summary

You should be dancing...here, at the North Kirkland Community Center! You will feel right at home in our dance room with suspended hardwood floors and wall of mirrors. Plan and teach preschool-youth ballet classes for summer and preschool Ballet, Tap, and Mini Hip-Hop for fall. Must possess creativity, and provide a safe stimulating class environment with age appropriate activities. Looking for an instructor with good communications skills and a love for teaching dance.

Hours of Work:
Starting June 11. Instructor needed for Thursdays only between 9am - 12:15pm. Starting Fall 2024 instructor needed for Tuesdays 9:30am - 12:30pm.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Good verbal, written, and telephone communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interact courteously with the public.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated good judgement in problem solving and responding to customer needs.
  • Proficiency in standard computer software, such as Microsoft Office Suite applications Word, Excel and Outlook

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have two (2) years of dance experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification by start date.
  • Must successfully complete a thorough background check as required by the Child/Abuse Information Act.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a community center setting, with high levels of noise. Must have ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. Must be able to walk, climb, bend, and stoop to complete tasks.
