Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technician 2 to join the team. This role will be a Full Time Days/Nights, on call. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation assistance eligible.

Neurodiagnostic Technician 2 Job Responsibilities:



  • Schedules appointments, greets patients/families and provides testing instructions.
  • Assists in monitoring quality improvement and the development/revision of Neurodiagnostic procedures and standards while serving as a role model/resource to Neurodiagnostic Technologist.
  • Performs complex electroencephalography (EEG) recordings including routine and/or portable EEG, neonatal EEG, cortical silence EEG and continuous bedside EEG monitoring by utilizing knowledge of EEG instrumentation and pattern recognition.
  • Positions patients/provides patients comfort by measuring and accurately applying electrodes in a timely manner according to the International 10-20 System.


Neurodiagnostic Technician 2 Additional Requirements:



  • Certification - Basic Life Support for all age groups; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation for all age groups; Eligible for/or successful completion of Part II (oral) examination for registration by ABRET (EEG and/or Evoked Potential) or completion of examination by an equivalent examination body; Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist required unless have 10 years of Neurodiagnostic Technician experience
  • Licensure - None required
  • Experience - Three years of experience in the Neurodiagnostic or a Neurophysiological field in an inpatient or office setting; Experience performing advanced EEG/evoked potential studies
  • Education - High School or GED Graduate from an accredited program for Electroneurodiagnostic Technology; Registry as an R.EEG.T is required.
