PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: To set up, adjust, maintain and efficiently operate manually and computer guided: Automated Welding Machine MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: o Trained to operated Automated Welding Machine o Forklift trained and capable of operating as material handler. o Positions production materials and tooling and maintains proper dimensions according to specifications. o Operates various equipment, including controllers, and programs according to production documentation. o Meets established performance standards to ensure production schedules are met. o Complies with all applicable safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions or potential safety hazards to team leader or appropriate resource. o Ensures that products meet CADDY quality standards. o Inspects work to ensure proper dimensional requirements are met o Assists Maintenance and outside sources with trouble-shooting systems. o Takes action and notifies appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, etc. o Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs. o Maintains a clean, safe and organized work area. o May be required to perform additional duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: o High School Diploma or G.E.D. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: o Knowledge of all operations of the assigned production process required o Knowledge of safety policies and procedures, and ability to promote compliance with them. o Fork truck licensed or ability to obtain one. o Ability to lift, slide and shake heavy gauges of material. o Ability to read and use measuring equipment (i.e. tape measure, caliper) o Ability to identify and support continuous improvement efforts with the Operations Supervisor. o Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. o Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly changing business environment. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB: Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job listed below. Modify as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Description Vision Must be able to meet vision requirements as outlined by standard occupational guidelines Lifting Up to 50 lbs Pushing Job requires pushing production materials and wheeled carts Sitting Seldom as required by the process Standing Frequently as required by the process Climbing Seldom as required by the process Kneeling Occasionally as required by the process Coaching/stooping Occasionally as required by the process Full Use Job requires full range of upper extremities in the manipulation of materials used in the production processes Simultaneous Operating machinery and positioning production materials requiring a high degree of mental awareness and concentration Communication Job requires both written and oral skills in communicating with others and receiving instruction Other Repetitive motion with upper body; fine manipulation - using fingers to push keys People are our most valuable asset.
