Job Title: Staff Aug: Senior Network & Security Engineer

Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to support network operations, firewall administration, secure remote-access solutions, and infrastructure security activities across a distributed enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support SonicWall firewalls.
• Implement and troubleshoot firewall rule changes.
• Manage network connectivity across multiple locations.
• Perform network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Support secure remote-access solutions.
• Review and implement security-related configuration changes.
• Assist with privileged administrative activities.
• Support network and security operational incidents.
• Participate in infrastructure transition and stabilization activities.
• Create and maintain network and security documentation.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to improve operational maturity.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network and security operations.
• Strong hands-on experience administering SonicWall firewalls.
• Experience in firewall policy management and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with VPN and remote-access technologies.
• Proficiency in network monitoring and diagnostics.
• Experience in incident response and operational security support.
• Understanding of Microsoft infrastructure security fundamentals.

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP, CISA, GIAC, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with Zero Trust access solutions.
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC).
• Knowledge of Microsoft security technologies.
• Experience supporting geographically distributed environments.
• Healthcare or insurance industry experience.

• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting transition and transformation programs.
• Strong documentation and process improvement skills.

Work Arrangement

• Onsite/Hybrid in Waltham, Massachusetts.
