Senior Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team at Effecture. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale and complex networks. Your expertise in network administration, advanced routing and switching, and cyber security will contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage firewall policies to ensure network security.
• Provide advanced routing and switching support, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Analyze system faults, perform diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware, and proactively detect and resolve network problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal network performance.
• Produce comprehensive documentation to support operational management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy network infrastructure solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in network engineering

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Network Administrator, with a strong focus on large, complex networks.
• Proficient in implementing firewall policies and network security measures.
• Extensive experience in advanced routing and switching support and configurations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve system faults.
• Experience running diagnostic tests on operating systems and hardware.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices to ensure network reliability.
• Excellent documentation skills to create comprehensive operational materials.
• Hold necessary IA training, certification, certification maintenance, and continuing education to meet Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) requirements, including a minimum of IAM and IAT certification level III as described in DoD 8570.01M.
• Required certifications: CCNA (2 years), Linux/Unix (3 years), Security+, and 4 years of network security experience.
• Desired certifications: CCNP Route & Switch (1 year minimum), CISSP, In-line Network Encryption (3 years), Tactical Data Networks (3 years), Advanced Routing, Telecom, or Service Provider (3 years).
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required. Secret clearance is acceptable, if you have held TS/SCI within the last 12 months, it is preferred.
