Sr. Construction Manager

Employment: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Location: Azusa, CA | Southern California Project Sites

Salary: $175,000-$200,000 (DOE)

Our client, an established Southern California general contractor specializing in healthcare construction, hospital renovations, tenant improvements, and commercial projects, is seeking an experienced construction leader to oversee daily operations and drive project success.

This is more than a management role! You'll work directly with ownership, lead multiple projects, develop high-performing teams, and play a key role in the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple commercial and healthcare construction projects simultaneously.
• Lead and supervise Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Manage schedules, budgets, cost controls, and project profitability.
• Resolve operational challenges and make independent decisions within established approval limits.
• Partner with ownership to improve efficiency, project execution, and client satisfaction.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience on the general contractor side, including senior project leadership.
• Recent occupied hospital renovations, healthcare tenant improvements, or healthcare construction experience.
• Knowledge of HCAI/OSHPD, ICRA, and ILSM requirements.
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and directly supervising Project Managers and Superintendents.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Procore proficiency and bilingual English/Spanish skills. (Preferred)
• Strong scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and subcontractor coordination skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with ownership.
