2026-16216
Position Summary Direct and execute video productions in the field, from single-camera interviews to multi-camera, multi-crew, multi-day shoots across university locations. Own the on-set creative and technical outcome of every production: directing subjects and crew, solving problems in real time, and making sure what gets captured is usable, high-quality, and true to the story. Build, lead, and evaluate the freelance crew roster (camera operators, sound recordists, gaffers, grips, PAs) and serve as the department's point person for on-set staffing decisions. Take ownership of the department's production equipment, including what we have, what condition it's in, what we need next, and who is trained to use it. Take the lead role, as director or executive producer, on the department's highest-complexity and highest-visibility field productions. This is a one year fixed-term position.
