About the Opportunity:
- The Senior Software Engineer is an integral part of our Electro Optical Infrared System (EOIS) Software Development Team.
- Responsible for leading technical activities and completing such activities on time, this engineer can execute in all phases of the development lifecycle and influencing the design architecture to ensure robust operation.
What You'll Do:
- Tasks include developing embedded software, PC tools and utilities, and implementing networking/communications protocols.
- Determines hardware compatibility and influences component selection.
- Completes design documentation and procedures to build, install, and maintain software.
- Interacts with users to define system requirements or necessary modifications.
- Supports and participates in technical activity.
- Designs, develops, analyzes, documents, and supports testing of products, systems or subsystems.
- May use computer-aided engineering or other design/analysis software in the performance of assignments.
- Provides regular reporting of progress and status.
- Responsible for completion of assigned task on time and meeting technical requirements.
- Reviews customer specifications and requirements, and under direction develops designs to best support them, including cost as a key design variable.
- Supports design to cost and design for manufacture requirements.
- Develops prototypes to retire key development risks as directed.
- Communicates clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as necessary.
- Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization.
- Lead and direct the work of others as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
- 5+ years of Test and Lab experience (oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.).
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience testing Infrared detectors and sensors, as well as Read Out Integrated Circuits (ROICS), Dewars, Noise Measurements.
- Clean room experience.
- Experience with Focal Plane Aray (FPA).
- Fluency in Optics.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python.
