Maintenance - Mechanical Location(s): Lawrenceville, GA, US, 30043 Function: Manufacturing Audience: Experienced Professional Work Arrangement: On Site Requisition ID: 70564 Job Summary: The Industrial Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including minor plumbing, electrical, and other building systems. Main tasks include installing and repairing equipment with trouble shooting are the key focus Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts. Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments. Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders. Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Trouble shoot electrical problems and identify faulty components Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment In-depth knowledge of system maintenance Ability to lift and move heavy equipment Familiarity with safety standards and regulations Skilled in analyzing information and creating reports Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Ability to identify issues with PLC's Controls, and other electrical components Excellent organizational and time management skills. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Related experience preferred. On-the-job training offered. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
