Firefighter D/Paramedic and Firefighter

The Town of East Haven is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Social Worker. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with the East Haven Police Department, salary for this position is $82,500.00 per year Entry Level, $85,553 Step 2; $88,718 Step 3; $92,001 Step 4, $92,921 Step 5. The Town offers an excellent benefit package. Candidates must possess a Master's degree or higher in Social Work or a related field from an accredited college or university required. Minimum three (3) years of clinical, crisis-intervention, or mental-health experience required. Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required. Must meet statutory requirements for issuing emergency certificates under CGS 17a-503. Experience working in emergency situations is highly preferred. Experience working in a law enforcement setting is highly preferred. Mediation, trauma-informed practice, or de-escalation experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license, and successfully pass a background investigation.
