Description Job Summary: The Staff Process Engineer leads process transformation initiatives that improve operational effectiveness across business and technology functions. This role partners with business leaders, technology teams, automation specialists, and technical advisors to analyze complex processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement scalable solutions leveraging automation and AI capabilities. As a trusted advisor, the Staff Process Engineer drives process discovery, design, optimization, and governance efforts while developing enterprise process models, standards, and performance metrics. This role helps shape the organization's process engineering strategy, mentors team members, and champions continuous improvement, intelligent automation, and AI-enabled business transformation. The role also provides mentorship to junior team members. - Lead process discovery, analysis, and requirements definition efforts across complex business, technology, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives
- Lead the enterprise Value Stream Mapping (VSM) program by coordinating with leaders on enterprise value stream maps to target processes for overhaul
- Lead Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) sessions to identify and mitigate risk before implementation
- Design and maintain enterprise process architectures, current-state and future-state process models, value stream maps, and process documentation using industry standards such as BPMN
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, technology teams, and technical stakeholders by recommending scalable process, automation, and AI-enabled solutions
- Drive process optimization efforts by identifying inefficiencies, risks, control gaps, and opportunities to improve operational performance and customer experiences
- Lead the evaluation and integration of automation, workflow, and AI capabilities to streamline processes and enhance business outcomes
- Define business requirements, process logic, decision frameworks, data flows, system interactions, and control requirements to support solution design and implementation
- Establish and monitor process performance metrics, KPIs, and governance standards to measure effectiveness and support continuous improvement
- Conduct impact assessments and provide process leadership for technology implementations, organizational changes, and enterprise transformation initiatives
- Oversee process inventories, repositories, documentation standards, and governance artifacts to ensure consistency, quality, and sustainability
- Build strong partnerships across business, technology, data, automation, and AI teams to advance organizational process maturity and transformation objectives
- Maintain expertise in process engineering, intelligent automation, AI technologies, process mining, and industry best practices to continuously enhance organizational capabilities
- Mentor and provide guidance to process engineers and business partners on process engineering methodologies, best practices, and enterprise standards
Typical Scope:
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Manages projects or programs with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity. Handles diverse and complex problems requiring evaluation of multiple factors; acts autonomously on most decisions. Requires guidance only on highly complex judgments.
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to work on complex issues. Advanced understanding of functional area and expert knowledge in specialized discipline. Recognized subject matter expert.

Education Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, finance, or related field(or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
- 6-8 years of experience in process improvement, business analysis, operations, process engineering, or a related discipline
- Expert knowledge of business process mapping, process modeling methodologies, including BPMN or similar standards
- Expert understanding of business process improvement principles and methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices
- Knowledge of business systems, workflow technologies, automation platforms, and emerging AI capabilities
- Ability to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and document business and technical requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to interpret process, system, and data dependencies and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to create clear process documentation and presentations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross functional environment
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies, automation solutions, AI-enabled process capabilities, and process engineering best practices
Location: Primary- Hillsborough, OR Marlborough/Chelmsford, MA Target Compensation: $131,000 - $157,000 Schedule: Monday- Friday: 8am -5pm
