Job Summary:

The Process Engineer supports process discovery, documentation, analysis, and design efforts across business and technology initiatives. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and process engineering team members to document workflows, identify process improvement opportunities, and evaluate automation and AI-enabled solutions that enhance operational effectiveness. The Process Engineer develops process models using established standards, maintain process documentation and inventories, and supports process change initiatives. Working under the guidance of senior team members, this role helps identify opportunities to streamline processes, incorporate AI capabilities, improve business outcomes through scalable, well-documented process solutions and intelligent process automation.

Essential Functions:

  • Support process discovery and requirements gathering efforts across business, technology, automation, and AI-enabled initiatives
  • Document business processes, decision points, data flows, system interactions, inputs, outputs, and control requirements to support business and technical solution design
  • Prepare current and future-state process models using established engineering standards, including BPMN, value stream mapping, and process decomposition techniques
  • Partner with business stakeholders, automation engineers, and data and technology teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and AI capability integration
  • Support automation and AI initiatives by documenting process logic, business rules, exception handling data requirements, and workflow dependencies
  • Assist with defining, tracking, and reporting process performance metrics and key operational indicators
  • Manage process artifacts, repositories, templates, and documentation to support process governance and knowledge management
  • Track process engineering requests, priorities, dependencies, and follow-up actions to support project delivery
  • Build effective partnerships across business, technology, and automation teams to support process transformation initiatives
  • Stay current on process engineering methodologies, automation platforms, AI technologies, and industry best practices

Education Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business, finance, or related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Required Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience
  • 1 year of experience in process improvement, business analysis, operations, process engineering, or a related discipline
  • Foundational knowledge of business process mapping, process modeling methodologies, including BPMN or similar standards
  • Understanding of business process improvement principles and methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices
  • Knowledge of business systems, workflow technologies, automation platforms, and emerging AI capabilities
  • Ability to analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and document business and technical requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret process, system, and data dependencies and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to create clear process documentation and presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross functional environment
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies, automation solutions, AI-enabled process capabilities, and process engineering best practices

Target Compensation: $83,000 -$99,500

Schedule: 8am- 5pm
