Summary The IT Support Specialist provides technical support for M & H Valve and Tyler Union employees by maintaining computer hardware, software, network connectivity, telecommunications systems, and related technology resources. This position is responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, installing and configuring equipment, supporting end users, and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the company's information technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically proficient, and capable of working independently while supporting organizational technology needs. Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Technical
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 Professional Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Experience with workstation and laptop hardware troubleshooting, repair, and configuration.
- Understanding of network printing and Microsoft print services.
- Understanding of Local Area Networks (LAN).
- Understanding of Wide Area Networks (WAN).
- Understanding of telecommunications and VoIP services.
- Experience with user account administration and access management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and endpoint protection solutions.
- Experience documenting technical procedures and support activities.
- End User Support & Hardware Maintenance
- Install, configure, deploy, and maintain software applications on company computers and devices.
- Set up, image, configure, and deploy new desktop computers, laptops, and related peripherals for end users.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve computer hardware, operating system, software, and connectivity issues.
- Provide day-to-day technical support and assistance to users, resolving help desk requests and technical issues in a timely manner.
- Printer Support
- Install, configure, and deploy network and locally connected printers.
- Troubleshoot printer hardware, software, driver, and connectivity issues.
- Perform routine printer maintenance, including toner replacement, cleaning, preventive maintenance, and coordination with vendor support when necessary.
- Network Support
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including testing network cabling, switches, ports, and user connectivity issues.
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving LAN/WAN connectivity problems and escalating issues when appropriate.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Maintain IT inventory and documentation.
- Participate in technology projects, upgrades, and system deployments.
- Follow company IT security policies and procedures.
- Provide on-site support across manufacturing and office environments.
Qualifications

- Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or related technical roles preferred.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments preferred.
- Manufacturing environment experience is a plus.
