Job Description




As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Hershey, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.52 / Hour

    Valid Driver's License (AU Driver Policy Requirements - C123)
    Candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with AUS driver policy requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
    Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This experience is crucial for positions that involve security and access management within our facilities.

  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
    Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. Familiarity with basic software applications and digital communication tools is required for effective job performance.

  • Customer Service Experience (B219)
    Candidates should have a background in customer service. Experience in this area is vital for roles that involve direct interaction with clients and customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout food and beverage production, warehouse, shipping, receiving, parking, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Prepare accurate activity reports and promptly communicate observed hazards, policy violations, and unusual conditions to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
