Job Description




As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Lansing, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, assisting visitors, and responding to security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and provide professional communication and customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Communicate professionally with healthcare location personnel, visitors, and emergency responders while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
