POSITION OVERVIEW:

Adjust claims in an equitable and legal manner; to provide technical direction and training to assistants, agents and associates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Adjust claims in an equitable and legal manner; to provide technical direction and training to assistants, agents and associates.
  • Audit files.
  • Support management.
  • Will be assigned to the auto, cargo, or worker's compensation claims units.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five (5) years' experience in related claims handling or three (3) years in a business environment.
  • Customer service experience or one (1) years' experience in related claims handling.
  • Knowledge of contract, tort, damages, subrogation, contribution/indemnity and other applicable/related laws.
  • Strong human relations skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
