Our dynamic growth and continued success has created a new opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer in our growing Chicago office located in the President's Plaza. Every project brings a new puzzle that requires creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. This position offers the opportunity to become pat of a well-established structural group.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project oversight including setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.
  • The ability to serve as a technical resource for less experienced engineers and designers.
  • Design and analyze structural systems for a variety of buildings and structural projects.
  • Coordinate between multiple disciplines and attend project coordination meetings.
  • Develop structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Mentor and support developing engineers and structural staff.

We are considering candidates who meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in structural design of buildings.
  • Experience in leading the technical design of structural projects; project management experience a plus.
  • Professional registration as an SE.
  • Working knowledge of Revit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently are crucial.
  • A commitment to technical excellence, quality and client service.
