What you can expect Location: 2301 Erwin Rd Durham, NC 27705 The Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit (Duke Central Tower 1A/2A) currently consists of two 17-bed units that provide care for a diverse pediatric population requiring both acute care and stepdown/intermediate-level services. Patients include those with general pediatric, medical, and surgical needs, as well as children requiring specialized care for solid organ transplants and chronic tracheostomy or ventilator dependence. The unit offers a dynamic clinical environment with varying patient acuity levels and frequent patient turnover. As part of future Duke Children's transitions, the majority of these patients will be consolidated on DCT 1A (17 beds), creating an increased concentration of stepdown care patients. Schedule:
