As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment
• Serving as a clinical partner to physicians and advanced providers, offering insight that supports timely, well-coordinated care decisions
• Providing clear, compassionate education to patients and families so they feel informed, supported, and prepared for the next phase of care
• Ensuring accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record to promote continuity and patient safety

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

About the Unit:

3 Heritage - Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) Telemetry Unit

18-bed inpatient unit

3 Heritage is an Acute Care for the Elderly (ACE) medical-surgical telemetry unit dedicated to caring for older adults with a wide variety of acute medical conditions. The department emphasizes evidence-based geriatric care, promoting functional independence, mobility, safety, and interdisciplinary collaboration throughout the patient's hospitalization.

The team is currently pursuing NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) designation, providing nurses with enhanced education and specialized competencies in geriatric nursing and age-friendly care practices.

Like all Heritage inpatient units, every patient room is equipped for continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, and registered nurses are trained in basic dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
