Position Summary

The Product Portfolio Manager leads comprehensive product strategy from concept through the full product lifecycle for the thermal product line, managing both a product portfolio and the team responsible for its success. This role defines the thermal product vision and strategy, owns the product roadmap, identifies and validates customer and user needs, and works cross-functionally to deliver best-in-class products that support business objectives.

This position balances customer needs, data-driven decision-making, and strong execution to drive product adoption, engagement, sales growth, margin expansion, and overall portfolio performance. The position maintains a primary reporting relationship to the Division Sales and Marketing Manager to ensure alignment with product line, division, and overall business strategies.

Responsibilities

* Manage team of thermal product line managers to drive growth and manage product portfolio.
* Conceptualize new products for development in the New Product Commercialization.
* Develop product roadmaps detailing future products.
* Work closely with marketing team to develop market knowledge for strategies.
* Proactively identify new opportunities in which existing products or services can be utilized.
* Develop business models for the technologies which include projected sales, potential market penetration, gross margins, risk analysis, and business feasibility.
* Participate in technical seminars (Tech Days), product training and exhibitions.
* Manage large customer projects to ensure execution.
* Identify new partners to further Chomerics growth strategy.
* Identification and launch of Innovative Product opportunities.
* Conducts and documents competitive research, paradigm shifting technologies, new market trends and customer requirements for electronics.
* Initiate new product and technology benchmarking activities which include testing, component analysis, cost analysis, design comparisons, market channel analysis, risk analysis, etc.
* Produce marketing analysis and reports / presentations to division and group management as needed.
* Participate in and propose Kaizen events to drive cost, leadtime, quality, and new capabilities through to completion.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 4-year college degree in marketing, business, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years' experience in marketing, sales, or product management.
  • PC skills a must
  • Must be able to travel by car overnight up to 25% of time; or as required.
  • Must be able to travel by plane as required
  • Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status

  • Must have strategic skills to help the commercial team steer the business as we make critical choices and build new capabilities

  • An analytical and data-driven thinker, who can quickly analyze sales-related data i.e. quotes, forecasts, sales funnels etc.

Competitive Compensation

  • Pay Range: $120500 to $210950 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
