Office hours are between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. As a Float Pool Medical Assistant, flexibility is required. Potential shifts include: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Must remain on-site until the last patient has been seen. Location May float to other Holy Name Physician Practices located primarily in: Bergen County Hudson County Passaic County Candidates must be flexible and willing to travel between locations as needed. Requirements Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience Current Medical Assistant Certification (National Certification required) Current BLS Certification Local candidates welcome RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at the time of submission No call responsibilities Duties & Responsibilities Room patients Obtain and record vital signs Perform patient intake Document patient histories, medications, and allergies Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits Communicate test results and process prescription refill requests Assist with front desk/reception duties, including: Answering patient calls Scheduling appointments Chart preparation Telephone triage Ordering supplies Pharmacy calls and refill requests Charting EMR/charting systems vary by location. Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in Spanish or Korean Experience in an adult outpatient clinic setting Additional Information Travel experience is not required. Candidates will float throughout Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties as needed.
