Schedule

  • 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch deducted.
  • Office hours are between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
  • As a Float Pool Medical Assistant, flexibility is required.
  • Potential shifts include:

    • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
    • 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
    • 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM


  • Must remain on-site until the last patient has been seen.


Location


  • May float to other Holy Name Physician Practices located primarily in:

    • Bergen County
    • Hudson County
    • Passaic County


  • Candidates must be flexible and willing to travel between locations as needed.


Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification (National Certification required)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Local candidates welcome
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at the time of submission
  • No call responsibilities


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Room patients
  • Obtain and record vital signs
  • Perform patient intake
  • Document patient histories, medications, and allergies
  • Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits
  • Communicate test results and process prescription refill requests
  • Assist with front desk/reception duties, including:

    • Answering patient calls
    • Scheduling appointments


  • Chart preparation
  • Telephone triage
  • Ordering supplies
  • Pharmacy calls and refill requests


Charting

  • EMR/charting systems vary by location.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Korean
  • Experience in an adult outpatient clinic setting


Additional Information

  • Travel experience is not required.
  • Candidates will float throughout Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties as needed.
