Overview

The Construction Logistical Specialist is responsible for maintaining the CALM processes and work flows to ensure that communication is maintained to all project teams and stakeholders with accurate and timely data as it pertains to each activity. The Construction Logistical Specialist will work with the CALM Team and will be responsible for preparing and distributing materials relating to workshops and meetings, activities and project coordination. This effort includes tracking requests from beginning to end, meeting minutes, coordinating meetings and streamlining processes.



Responsibilities

    Waynding specialists with multiple years of airport experience skilled in creating, iplementing, and overseeing temporary waynding strategies that support pedestrian ow and user experience.
  • Procient in assessing signage quality, visual appeal, and adherence to standards, with the ability to recommend sign types specic to each project.
  • Experience managing multiple collaborative waynding projects with multidisciplinary teams, including sta with technical and non-technical backgrounds. Must coordinate across various disciplines, meeting multiple deadlines under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Procient in reading, interpreting, and analyzing project schedules, Gantt charts, and design plans. Capable of evaluating signage needs based on construction activities, environmental factors, and user expectations to maintain eective waynding.
  • In-depth understanding of signage materials, fabrication methods, color theory, typography, and font specications. Knowledge of signage, temporary waynding, and mapping industry best practices.
  • Ability to review projects' submittals Phasing Plan and Site Logistics Plans as submitted through the ASR and LIR processes with a keen eye for waynding impacts.
  • Strong visualization skills. Experience in developing concepts, location plans, and proposed waynding paths of travel with high visual impact.
  • Procient in planning, production, and installation of temporary waynding that translates complex information into easy-to-understand visuals.
  • Hands-on experience with installation procedures, including regular site walks to evaluate signage eectiveness and updates to plans as needed.
  • Skilled in tracking phasing for production, and installation schedules across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and a holistic approach across projects.
  • High attention to detail in verifying the quality and consistency of signage and waynding
  • elements, ensuring visual appeal and usability across all materials.
  • Skilled in layout and information design, including the formatting of waynding plans, maps, newsletters, yers, stakeholder updates, and presentation materials. Ability to apply visual hierarchy, consistency, readability, and brand/program standards to ensure materials are clear, professional, and audience appropriate.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical or eld-based information to both project teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Procient in Adobe Creative Suite and Bluebeam for creating, editing, and reviewing visual
  • materials and layouts.
  • Procient in Microsoft Oce tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint) for project communication, scheduling, and documentation.
  • The candidate shall pass the federal background check and LAWA Badge is required


Qualifications

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or other related technical field required. Master's degree preferred.

Professional Licenses & Certification: Optional Certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, PE, AICP etc. or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certifications.

Minimum Years and Experience: 10 years or more experience, preferably on airport building programs or similar complex building programs.
