The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and sanitation tasks throughout the healthcare facility to ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in promoting a healthy and hygienic environment conducive to patient healing and well-being. Position Details: Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson - Environmental Services Department 1400 Hwy 61 South, Festus, MO 63028 Hours/Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Day Shifts Night Shifts Evening Shifts All Positions Require Rotating Weekends/Holidays Our Housekeeping Team helps create a lasting impression of our hospital to patients and visitors! Qualifications: Education: Although a high school diploma or GED is preferred, we are pleased to offer comprehensive on-the-job training to support your success at Mercy. Experience: Prior hospital environmental service experience preferred. Prior work experience following written and verbal instructions. Previous experience with performing manual tasks preferred. Prior experience working with the public; customer service. Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. This role involves frequent movement throughout the hospital during the majority of the shift. Flexibility and physical stamina are essential. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support departmental operation. Why Mercy?
