The PSR ensures that the patient experience is positive and seamless by managing front desk operations and workflows. Position Details: Patient Service Representative - Mercy Clinic Surgical Specialists, Sindelar Cancer Center Location: 10050 Kennerly Road,Suite 2500 St. Louis,MO63128 Schedule:Full-Time \| Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week) Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Customer service experience preferred Responsibilities: Greet and register patients; verify identity and manage checkin/checkout Answer phones and perform clerical tasks including Epic charting, scanning, faxing, and document handling Schedule appointments, procedures, and testing; provide timely estimates and Good Faith Estimates Monitor provider schedules, communicate delays, and coordinate with staff to ensure efficient clinic flow Maintain accurate registration, EHRs, and assigned work queues Handle patient concerns professionally and escalate as needed Manage daily cash drawer, accounts receivable tasks, and payment plans Support EPIC updates, departmental initiatives, and clinic communications Maintain a safe, clean reception area and adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control policies Perform other duties as assigned Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and billing processes Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry Strong customer service skills with a patientfocused approach High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy policies Adaptable, professional, and able to work well under pressure Effective problemsolving and issue resolution skills Why Mercy?
