Lab Technician

Tucker, GA / On-Site

Nights: 12 hour shift 2-2-3 schedule (every other Saturday, Sunday, Monday off) 6pm-6:30am

PRIMARY DUTIES

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing quality testing, documenting results, and ensuring products meet H.B. Fuller quality standards. This position also supports production scheduling and batch documentation while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and work instructions while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform quality testing on pellet and pillow products in accordance with established testing procedures.
  • Accurately record and maintain laboratory test results in SAP and Prism Log.
  • Evaluate product quality and determine appropriate product disposition, including release, block, or rework decisions based on established quality standards.
  • Review production lineups within SAP to support daily manufacturing operations.
  • Print, organize, and assemble batch tickets for both Bulk and Packaging production lines, ensuring documentation is prepared in the proper production sequence.
  • Process approved material substitutions and revisions on Bulk batch tickets as required.
  • Conduct First Piece Inspections on each packaging line at the beginning, middle, and end of production runs to verify product quality and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure quality records are completed in accordance with company procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns, non-conforming materials, and production issues promptly to Production and Quality leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve laboratory and quality processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS Experience
  • Preferred 1 plus years of laboratory experience, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Working knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality control processes.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document and interpret laboratory results.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional and multicultural teams.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability and willingness to travel occasionally, as required.
  • Ability to add, subtract and multiple on a daily basis

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $20.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience.
