Job Summary

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for hourly and salaried employees while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations and company policies. This role supports payroll administration through payroll audits, benefit deduction verification, wage garnishment processing, and payroll reporting. The Payroll Administrator maintains confidential employee payroll records and collaborates with leadership on payroll and accounting-related projects to ensure efficient payroll operations.

Job Responsibilities




  • Process payroll for hourly and salaried employees accurately and on schedule.



  • Assist with the administration, entry, and payment of wage garnishments.



  • Prepare and process property payroll transfer reports.



  • Review and verify employee benefit deductions for accuracy.



  • Conduct payroll audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.



  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee payroll information.



  • Support leadership with payroll, accounting, and related administrative projects.



  • Ensure payroll activities comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.



  • Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information.




Job Requirements




  • Minimum of 1 year of payroll, accounting, or related administrative experience.



  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.



  • Ability to handle confidential employee and payroll information with discretion.



  • Basic auditing and data validation skills.



  • Strong organizational and time management skills.



  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.



  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.



  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.



  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred.



  • Experience with PayChoice, Payroll Associates, or similar payroll software preferred.




Education




  • High School Diploma or GED required.
