Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. Position Summary
The Lai lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a part-time Administrative & Operations Assistant to support various ongoing projects in the lab spanning antibody engineering, viral vector engineering, and/or bacteriophage biology and gut microbiome engineering. The Administrative & Operations Assistant will aid supporting the non-research operations of the lab, specifically in placing orders; updating inventory log with orders placed; helping with procuring vendors on equipment shipping, setup, maintenance and repair; and organizing/maintaining paperwork such as Safety Data Sheets ( SDS).

Key Responsibilities
* Procure lab supplies, including preparing order requests and obtaining vendor quotes
* Place orders for various materials & supplies
* Track orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
* Coordinate product returns and resolve delivery issues
* Schedule and coordinate vendor visits for equipment calibration, maintenance, and repairs
* Communicate service schedules to minimize disruption to lab operations
* Update chemical inventory records
* Manage regulatory documentation, including Safety Data Sheets ( SDS) and Certificates of Analysis ( COA), as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Management Preferences
-Demonstrated experience with inventory management, order tracking, or order fulfillment processes.
-Proficiency with standard computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to maintain accurate records using spreadsheets.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities while following instructions precisely.
-Ability to perform repetitive administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy, consistency, or attention to quality.
