Job Summary:
The Meat Science & Animal Biologics Discovery building (MSABD) is home to a USDA inspected meat processing/pilot plant, a BSL2 lab, and research/teaching labs. The Facilities Manager oversees all building and equipment maintenance to ensure uninterrupted research, teaching, extension, and production activities. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan tailored to the facility's highly specialized operations and variable schedule. The position manages daytoday maintenance activities, coordinates contractors and vendors, and ensures all work meets rigorous university quality standards. The manager proactively identifies solutions for maintaining and repairing complex, researchgrade equipment and communicates clearly with building users regarding maintenance timelines, impacts, and resolutions. Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000 - $87,473. However, final salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
