THE ROLE: AMD is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer - Thermal Components to join the Component Quality & Reliability team. In this highly visible role, you will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for driving the quality and reliability of thermal components and cooling solutions from concept through end-of-life. You will partner closely with thermal component suppliers, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure thermal solutions meet AMD's quality, reliability, manufacturability, and performance requirements while reducing product risk and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role is ideal for an experienced supplier quality engineer with a strong background in thermal engineering, liquid cooling technologies, heat transfer components, or thermal component manufacturing, who is passionate about driving quality across a global supplier network. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate is a highly experienced supplier quality professional with deep expertise in thermal components, thermal manufacturing processes, or thermal engineering, along with component reliability and supplier quality management. You have experience working with liquid cooling systems, cold plates, heat sinks, vapor chambers, thermal interface materials (TIMs), pumps, manifolds, radiators, or other thermal management technologies used in high-performance computing or similar industries. You are comfortable leading technical discussions with global suppliers, driving complex root cause investigations, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, sourcing, operations, and quality organizations. You thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at balancing multiple priorities, and are passionate about continuous improvement and delivering world-class product quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Thermal Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
