Job Description
  • This role is responsible for leading Lean Business Transformation by employing Lean Business System standards across an assigned regional area to improve operational performance.
  • Drive operational process rigor across end-to-end value streams creating sustainable positive impact across Patient Services, Laboratories, Logistics, and other key functions.
  • Develop and directly lead a portfolio of Lean initiatives to improve productivity and costs across operational business processes and sub-processes, and drive increase in revenue.
  • Drive the development of a continuous improvement culture by demonstrating and coaching stakeholder teams on Lean Six Sigma principles and toolkit.

This is a Hybrid position. The incumbent must reside in a commutable distance to one of our offices in Tampa, FL, Tucker, GA, Greensboro, NC and Miramar, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify Lean initiatives across key end-to-end value streams and clearly define business impact.

  • Lead multiple complex Lean initiatives through all stages of charter, program development or problem solving, implementation, and sustainment. Maintain clear initiative documentation across assigned portfolio.

  • Demonstrate expertise in application of standard Lean Toolkit (Std Work, DMS, Problem Solving, Kaizen, VSM and more) and effective use of data analysis.

  • Engage with senior leadership and stakeholder teams to obtain support and participation in business transformation initiatives.

  • Drive cultural transformation by promoting problem solving and empowering employee ownership of their roles in continuous improvement.

  • Provide and facilitate effective professional level training on Lean concepts to cohorts of functional stakeholder teams.

  • Apply change management strategies to foster successful implementation of standard work.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal standards for safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.



Qualifications:

Required Work Experience:

  • 7+ years of cross-functional roles including leadership experience directly applying Lean methodologies.
  • Proven knowledge & experience applying Lean methodologies in both production/manufacturing and transactional office environments
  • Demonstrated Lean Six Sigma leadership at leading multiple initiatives and Kaizen events to achieve operational results.

Preferred Work Experience:

  • Lean expertise working in a mature Lean org: Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Shingijutsu Kaizen.
  • Experience working in a healthcare organization.
  • Successfully led 25+ Kaizen team events of 5-days with proven impact to KPIs.
  • Led teams in adopting Daily Management Systems, Model Line implementation, Problem Solving Process(A3)

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to visit and interact with office and frontline employees at local sites.
  • Ability to effectively lead multiple initiatives at the same time.

Skills:

  • Ability to diagnose current business processes, then articulate an ideal target condition, using Lean coaching methods.
  • Prior successful experience applying continuous flow using principles of Takt time, standard work, and single piece flow.
  • Ability to accurately assess business performance from a General Manager perspective and provide insights for improvement.
  • Prioritize and self-manage multiple projects.
  • Exceptional communication skills with multiple levels of the organization.
  • Plan and lead communication planning and change management methods.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. (Required)
  • Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering Degree (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Lean Six-Sigma Blackbelt certification, Shingijutsu Kaizen or equivalent from Toyota, Danaher, GE (Preferred)

Competencies:

Ability to solve complex business problems with minimal direction, prior laboratory or manufacturing experience, professional presentation skills, broad business management skills.
