Terracon's Facilities Service Line is growing, and we're looking for a motivatedFacilities Engineering Technicianto join ourBuilding Enclosureteam inOklahoma, Southern Missouri, or Western Arkansas.

This is a great opportunity for new graduates or earlycareer professionals who want to build technical skills, work alongside industry experts, and support a wide variety of client projects. Experience in building design, building enclosure or building science is helpful - but not required. We're ready to train the right person.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

What You'll Do:

As a Facilities Engineering Technician, you'll support consulting, field testing, and diagnostic services for building enclosure systems across multiple markets. Your work will include a blend of field and office responsibilities, such as:

  • Assisting with field investigations, observations, and inspections.
  • Assisting with engineering analysis, calculations, and recommendations.
  • Supporting the preparation and review of technical reports.
  • Reviewing construction practices and installations for compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Researching and resolving design and construction challenges.
  • Reviewing and evaluating field or lab data
  • Communicating technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders

You'll work on projects across sectors including public works, transportation, commercial, communications, energy, educational, healthcare, and industrial facilities.

Requirements:

What We're Looking For:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or architecture (or related field) or 2-3 years of relevant construction experience- new grads encouraged to apply
  • Interest in building science or building enclosure systems
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills
  • Curiosity, problemsolving mindset, and willingness to learn
  • Comfort with both field and office work
  • Ability to travel regionally within the Midwest (OK, MO, and AR)
  • Comfort with elevated heights
  • Comfort and ability to ascend ladders and scaffolding
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
