Security Officer - Afternoon Shift

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Access Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help support security-related screening activities, monitor access points, and observe site activity. Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or personal items entering or exiting designated areas in accordance with post instructions and client-facing procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and/or delivery activity to help support orderly site operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details through required communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around screening areas, operational spaces, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
