Job Summary

Under general supervision the Learning and Organization Development Specialist I is primarily responsible for the delivery and monitoring of Denver Health's leadership development and learning solutions. This role works in collaboration with the OD and HR teams and supports internal customers by providing strategic development opportunities that build leader competencies to enable individual, department and organizational effectiveness.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages learning events with a variety of stakeholders. Onboards and coaches stakeholders to teach courses, facilitate team building sessions, conduct learning sessions and coach outcomes, while adhering to adult learning principles and coaching models. (15%)
  • Prepares and delivers a variety of orientation, leadership, professional development, and compliance-related training programs in a rapidly growing and fast-paced environment. (15%)
  • Gathers, coordinates, and utilizes information related to group dynamics, individual personalities and organizational culture to facilitate in both large and small group settings. (15%)
  • Monitors, evaluates, and analyzes (across all evaluation levels) the effectiveness of learning solutions and operations through various methodologies, processes, and tools; including the maintenance of reference guides for systems. (15%)
  • Partners cross functionally with SME's, HRBP's, management, and key stakeholders through root cause analysis to consult and develop effective learning solutions targeted at the organizations greatest needs and underlying issues to deliver appropriate solutions. (15%)
  • Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies. (15%)
  • Delivers learning metrics to management teams in order to drive change and close organizational development gaps. (10%)

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Work Experience:

  • One year of experience in adult training, learning and development (Required)

OR

  • One year of curriculum design and instruction and one year designing learning solutions using instructional design methodologies (Required)
  • 1-3 years One year working with technologies (blended learning, WebEx, webinar, eLearning, micro-learnings, podcasts, etc.) (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of training philosophies, practices and methods.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skill in adult learning practices and classroom management.
  • Uses adult learning principles to develop content, including course objectives and activities to engage learners.
  • Proven ability to deliver targeted, audience-appropriate instructor-led training sessions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Visio and Smart Sheets preferred.
