JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bellisario Facilities and IT offices are looking for a highly motivated intern who possess exceptional interpersonal skills, and who exhibit outstanding professionalism to provide IT Support to students, staff, and faculty of The Pennsylvania State University.

Duties include but not limit to:

  • Ensuring each customer receives outstanding service at all times while addressing and resolving questions, completing appropriate tracking and routing within an incident tracking tool, contributing to technical documentation and FAQs.

  • Creating documentation

  • Ensure that computer lab equipment is fully functional; add paper and change toner in the printer

  • Assist connecting personal devices (mac, windows, iOS, Android) to the PSU wireless network

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance for the purpose of ensuring the availability of computer and peripheral equipment

  • Providing audio visual support in our classrooms and event spaces

  • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

  • Assists with inventory, organzation, tear-down and setup of IT assets

    Previous experience with writing documentation and diagnosing computers is preferred. Previous experience with diagnosing multi-media equipment is preferred. Ability to learn specific equipment functionality, a positive attitude and eagerness to help others is essential. Must be able to work in a team environment with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.

    Compensation:

    The starting rate for this job is $12.
