Summary:

The Integrated Commercial Manager - New Energy is responsible for supporting the development and commercial structuring of New Energy opportunities, including geothermal, CCUS, and other energy transition-related projects. The role requires strong technical understanding of energy project development, preferably from an operator / E&P environment, with the ability to translate technical project requirements into practical commercial and execution models.

This position will work closely with technical, commercial, legal, finance, risk, and operations teams to evaluate opportunities, support proposals, and develop fit-for-purpose solutions that deliver shareholder value.

You will be responsible for:

  • Support the development of proposals; may participate in customer negotiations; ensure opportunities deliver shareholder value and are commercially competitive. May include compiling and submitting required tender documentation.
  • Handle products, services, and systems requiring technical knowledge and understanding of the environment where the products or systems will be used. Solutions may be client-specific and require technical analysis and system design to fit client conditions.
  • Support the technical and commercial evaluation of New Energy opportunities, including geothermal, CCUS, and other energy transition-related projects.
  • Apply operator / E&P experience to assess project development requirements, technical risks, execution challenges, and value drivers.
  • Work with technical teams to understand project scope, development concept, subsurface and surface requirements, execution approach, and key project assumptions.
  • Support the development of commercial frameworks based on the technical project context, including scope definition, pricing inputs, contracting approach, risk allocation, and customer value proposition.
  • Support complex sales and development processes. Contracts may involve pricing and conditions of sales, rental, operation, maintenance, services, integrated solutions, and other New Energy-related commercial arrangements.
  • Support drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements related to New Energy and energy transition opportunities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, subsurface, legal, risk, finance, operations, product lines, and leadership.
  • Engage with customers to understand technical requirements, project objectives, and development challenges.
  • Participate in business development activities involving new markets, emerging technologies, or strategically important opportunities.
  • Ensure proposals and agreements comply with internal governance, risk management, approval processes, and shareholder value expectations.
Fuel your passion:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, geoscience, or a related technical discipline.
  • Advanced English Level.
  • 7+ years of experience in energy project development, technical business development, engineering, subsurface, field development, or related roles.
  • Experience working in or with an operator / E&P business environment.
  • Technical understanding of upstream, field development, geothermal, CCUS, or energy transition project development.
  • Ability to understand technical project requirements and support the development of suitable commercial and execution frameworks.
  • Exposure to commercial discussions, proposals, customer engagement, or contracting structures.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in New Energy sectors such as geothermal, CCUS, hydrogen, energy storage, or other energy transition-related areas.
  • Experience with Industrial & Energy Technology (IET) business models, integrated solutions, or technology-enabled energy projects would be a plus.
  • Strong technical background with good commercial awareness.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse technical and commercial risks and support practical solutions.
  • Ability to work across technical, commercial, legal, finance, risk, and operations teams.
  • Good negotiation and customer engagement skills.
