THE POSITION

As a Clerical Assistant 3 with the Pennsylvania State Lottery, you will help manage important records, assist callers, and support daily operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the Claims, Licensing, and Instant Accounting units by providing advanced clerical help and customer service. It ensures that retailer requests, ticket issues, and claim processes are handled correctly and on time. As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will perform the following duties:

  • Customer Support: Respond to calls and emails to explain processes, answer questions, and solve problems
  • Ticket Processing: Review ticket issues, adjust pack status, and determine next steps for missing or extra tickets
  • Claim Handling: Enter claim information, review reports, correct errors, and prepare letters for players
  • Record Review: Analyze ticket reports, research pack history, and determine retailer liability
  • Licensing Assistance: Scan documents, prepare mailings, and contact retailers to gather missing information
  • Document Management: File correspondence, process forms, and organize information for accurate records

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Call center experience
  • Customer service experience
