The MAI Creative Studio is seeking a multidisciplinary Senior Visual Designer with a passion for creating and directing brand content across a wide range of mediums. You thrive in both ideation and production, bringing concepts to life through web, product, merchandise, video, and emerging formats, and you bring equal energy to handson creation and to shaping the creative direction that guides it. You maintain a sharp eye for craft and design detail, drawing inspiration from across creative culture and contributing a distinct point of view that strengthens and diversifies the team's work. You communicate your ideas with clarity and confidence, using strong presentation skills to articulate creative thinking and guide stakeholders. This is a handson role for a designer who is energized by making, exploring, and elevating brand expression through thoughtful, highquality visual design.

• Develop strong visual concepts that elevate brand expression across mediums
• Present work clearly and confidently to stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborate closely with partners across Marketing, Product, Communications, and the broader MAI organization
• Work planfully with Producers to scope, schedule, and deliver creative projects
• Evolve, uphold, and extend the brand identity and design system
• Lead creative projects endtoend, from concept development through production and implementation
• Champion the intersection of product and brand design, ensuring cohesion across experiences
• Translate strategic goals into compelling visual storytelling and narrativedriven assets
• Work with agility, adopting AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance creative output
• Maintain a high bar for craft, detail, and execution across all deliverables

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design
  • OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).

Preferred Qualifications

• A portfolio or work samples highlighting at least 5 years of experience delivering end-to-end creative solutions
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, adapting quickly in a fast-moving, innovative environment
• Advanced skills in graphic design/illustration, including typography, layout, and visual systems
• Proficiency in motion design tools (e.g., After Effects, Premiere, or equivalent)
• Experience producing assets for both digital and physical applications (web, product UI, print, merch, environmental)
• Ability to build and extend brand identity systems with consistency and precision
• Strong visual storytelling skills, including narrative sequencing and framing
• Experience working with AIassisted creative tools for concepting, iteration, and production
• Strong communication skills for presenting design rationale and collaborating across disciplines

Product Design IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800.00 - $234,700.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200.00 - $261,000.00 per year.
