The University of Arizona's College of Social and Behavioral Sciences invites you to apply to the role of Business Administrator (Administrative Operations Professional II). As part of the Centralized Business Services Unit, the Business Administrator provides support to multiple academic and functional units within the college. In this role, you will be responsible for financial operations, budgeting, purchasing, reimbursements, select HR functions, and other complex business and fiscal matters, with an emphasis on those activities funded by grants, Foundation funds, and other restricted/external monies. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- In conjunction with team and under guidance of SBS Dean's Leadership Team, manage and control financial, budgeting, purchasing, and fiscal compliance functions for multiple academic and functional units within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences centralized business services model.
- Includes transactional work including reimbursements, budget management, chart of accounts administration, working with financial and logistical software systems, and assisting SBS faculty, staff, students, and principal investigators (PI's) with matters related to restricted funding activities.
- In conjunction with and under guidance of Senior leadership within SBS Business Team, oversee the review, approval, and reporting of expenditures assigned to restricted and research portfolio. Post-award management, effort report certification, budget reconciliation, position funding distributions, interfacing with UA Office of Sponsored Projects, and cost-share management.
- Work across functional areas within centralized SBS business services center, performing similar financial, budget, transactional, and some HR responsibilities on an ad-hoc basis as part of the larger business services area.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in related business functional units.
- Experience with processing reimbursements, purchasing assistance (purchase orders, credit card management), and managing budgets in a professional business environment.
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) experience in a professional setting.
- Demonstrated professional experience in a university, government, or similar environment with budget, financial, and business responsibilities.
- Financial, enterprise, or budgeting software experience.
