Overview

To provide leadership and oversight of overall patient care processes in Cardiovascular Services. Assures that high performing staff provides the highest service and quality care to patients within professional nursing care standards. Responsible for the performance of a variety of office support functions necessary to ensure the efficient, accurate and courteous operation of the department front office as well as clinical tasks performed by staff. Assists with service line/program development, project management, budget development, provider scheduling, and data analysis.
Qualifications

Certifications:

Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN, IL.) and

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days and

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year

Education:

Bachelor's Degree: Nursing or

Bachelor's Degree: Health Administration and

Work Experience:

Healthcare

Medical office


Responsibilities

PLANS, DIRECTS, COORDINATES, AND EVALUATES DAILY CLIENT CARE ACTIVITIES TO ENSURE APPROPRIATE STAFFING, QUALITY OF CARE, AND EFFECTIVE CLIENT OUTCOMES.
Assists in promoting the development of staff through standard setting, coaching, and role modeling.
Coordinates staff orientation for new personnel.
Coordinates communication with various ancillary departments utilized by Cardiovascular services.
Provides the Director with required reports for Cardiovascular services.
Performs the formal performance evaluations for Cardiovascular staff.
Oversees the implementation of policies and procedures.
Participates in developing and maintaining Cardiovascular services performance improvement activities.
Oversees staff and physician scheduling and productivity.
Ensures compliance with DNV, IDPH, CMS standards
Coordinates day-to-day client care assignments, activities, and staff schedules to ensure appropriate staffing, quality, cost-efficiency, and effective client outcomes.
Monitors and addresses problems associated with the delivery of clinical services and staff development needs.
Evaluates the efficiency of care processes and implements improvements resulting in reduced costs and maintained or improved quality.
Creates a smooth workflow and promotes job satisfaction for individuals. Must be a competent problem solver and consistent communicator.
Assists with staff meetings to ensure adequate communication of hospital and clinic issues and System information.
Is prepared to report on standing agenda items at monthly meetings with Director.
Ensures an environment of safety for staff and patients.
Assists in developing new programs and initiatives.MONITORS FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE TO ENSURE FISCAL EFFECTIVENESS; IDENTIFIES, RECOMMENDS, AND IMPLEMENTS IMPROVEMENTS
Prepares an annual budget and manages the staff and department consistent with approved budgetary goals.
Monitors Cardiovascular services accounts for variances to budget and flexible targets.
Able to justify variances to approved budget.
Participates in development of annual capital and operating expense budgets.
Monitors overtime and extra hours.
Monitors productivity based on staffing needs.
Assists in negotiation of vendor contracts.DIRECTS CLINICAL STAFF WITH PATIENT CARE AND MONITORS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES
Manages and ensures clinical staff:
Assesses data reflective to the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's educational requirements based on their age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policy and procedure.
Actively oversees the care of patients, offering mentoring and coaching as needed.
Assess workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
Acts swiftly when safety issues are identified, brainstorming and implementing safety measures for resolution.
Meets metrics for patient experience.
Meets staff experience scores.KEEPS ABREAST WITH CURRENT METHODS, RESOURCES AND INDUSTRY TRENDS FOR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH; IDENTIFIES OPPORTUNITIES TO CONTINUE TO CONTRIBUTE TO CARDIOVASCULAR SERVICE GROWTH
Continues professional development.
Demonstrates technical knowledge of equipment and supplies.
Researches advancements in Cardiovascular Care and new technologies; evaluate for appropriateness to the Cardiovascular patient.
Reads current literature to maintain and develop knowledge base.
Participates actively to ensure clinic activities are in agreement with regulatory standards, i.e., DNV, Medicare, Medicaid, OSHA, etc.
Assists in preparation and maintenance of policies.
Responsible for developing processes and monitoring of ICAEL and ICAVEL accreditation standards.
Works with contracted marketing individual to generate ideas for growth.Collaborate with director and nursing leadership to have clinical practice oversight of RN, MA staff Collaborate with leadership, revenue cycle resources and SME group to support PSR and prior authorization staff in accountable work flows Collaboration with dyad group, provider, and staff groups to ensure quality outcomes Promote safe, high quality care processes Collaboration with regulatory, compliance, and infection prevention staff to ensure compliant operations Communicate with leadership and staff to support work place engagement Model and support staff delivery of best practice customer service Participates in recruitment, selection, and retention of personnel. including staff representation of the population diversity.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $42.4per hour - $72.93per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
