ExamWorks is looking for a detail oriented Medical Report Integration Transcriptionist to join our team!

The Medical Report Integration Transcriptionist is responsible for compiling, reviewing and integrating multiple medical and case-related documents into a comprehensive medical report for physicians conducting Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs).

The schedule for this onsite role is Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Compile and integrate information from multiple sources into a cohesive medical report in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, grammar, formatting and completeness of report
  • Prioritize work according to importance of report or physician needs.
  • Recognize and report any problems, errors and discrepancies in the material and/or examinee records that cannot be easily corrected to management for review.
  • Return reports in electronic form to the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Maintain current letterhead and templates, updating information when required.
  • Ensure the integration meets company standards of quality and is completed within the established timelines.
  • Participate in various educational and or training activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one to two years experience working with medical transcription, medical terminology and/or compiling and integrating medical reports.
  • One year on the job experience within a medical or legal office preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Must have adequate knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Must possess excellent skills in English usage, grammar, punctuation and style.
  • Must be a qualified typist with a minimum 50+ WPM.
  • Must be able to maintain a quality assurance accuracy of 99%.


  • Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, and the Internet.
  • Ability to follow instructions and respond to managements' directions accurately.
  • Demonstrates exceptional accuracy and thoroughness. Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and asking questions where clarification is needed.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, prioritize work activities and use time efficiently.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and promote a positive team -oriented environment.
  • Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and or stressful conditions.
  • Must possess the ability to manage and change, delays, or unexpected events appropriately.
  • Ability to follow all company policies and procedures in effect at time of hire and as they may change or be added from time to time.
