Mission Statement

As a Mannington Associate I am expected to conduct myself in a manner which supports the company's values and philosophy, while performing in the best interest of my fellow associates. Summary Responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the claims department. Ensures complete and sound claim reviews, investigations, and resolutions. Familiar with manufacturing processes, installation practices, warranties, shipping processes and procedure for all Commercial product Categories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead the team to honor Mannington's Mission: To be the BEST people to do business with
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Commercial Claims: personnel, training, and performance
  • Provide pertinent reporting data to management/product leadership upon request
  • Communicate claims to all pertinent product leaders over a pre-defined threshold
  • Address claim issues with salesforce and customers as needed
  • Responsible for improvements to any programs utilized for performance such as, but not limited to, the Mannington Learning Center, Salesforce.com, Outlook, SAP, and Sharepoint
  • Monitor and improve the claims process through development, implementation, and tracking of specific KPI's for all claims analysts
  • Help facilitate solutions and collaboration with pertinent parties. Including, but not limited to, quality teams, tech services, shipping, customer service, sales, credit, etc.
  • Work with individual claims analysts regarding professional development opportunities

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises associates in Commercial Claims. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
  • 5 plus years in the flooring industry preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of claims operations
  • Bachelors Degree is preferred
Language Skills
  • Must be able to communicate with management, sales-force, and customers.
  • Must have excellent telephone etiquette.
  • Must be professional in communications.
Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with SAP and Salesforce is preferred.
