What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Engineering Process Technician to join our Cell Manufacturing production team.

In this role, you will support the development and optimization of next-generation Cell Manufacturing technologies. You will play a key part in both process development and equipment improvement initiatives, helping drive continuous advancement in our production operations.

The ideal candidate brings a strong drive to learn new skills, combined with excellent flexibility and communication abilities. These qualities will enable you to be an effective team player and make meaningful contributions in our fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift: 06:00AM-06:00PM; Thursday, Friday, Saturday and every other Wednesday


What You'll Do
  • Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing processes
  • Ensure process capability and maintain high product quality
  • Utilize root cause analysis and structured problem solving to resolve non-conforming product
  • Develop, maintain, and implement process changes and improvements
  • Write and update Manufacturing Instructions
  • Support engineering activities including process and equipment validations
  • Train and lead production associates on equipment operation while collaborating with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams on key metrics and continuous improvement projects

What You'll Bring
  • 1+ year of experience in a production or manufacturing setting
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical schematics, and engineering drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • 1+ year of hands-on assembly experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or technical degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery, SQL, and statistical analysis tools (Minitab/JMP) is a plus

    Expected Compensation
    $30.50 - $44.84/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
