The Decision Advantage division at Leidos currently has an opening for aTS cleared Systems Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Department of the Air Force at Beale AFB or Alexandria, VA.

We areseekinga highly experiencedSystems Engineerwho will be at the forefront of integrating, testing,demonstrating, deploying, andoperatingnew functionalities from multiplevendors into acustomer system.

TheSystemsEngineering teamleads, collaborates, and synchronizesefforts across decoupled task orders, ensuring efficientDevSecOpsprocesses and low-risk deployments of software and hardware capabilities.

The successful candidate willbring comprehensiveexpertiseacross the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, architecture maintenance, configuration management, and accreditation support.This role will be central to ensuring that capabilities are scalable, resilient, secure, compliant, and aligned to system integration processes, technical baselines, and mission outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, with a significant focus on large-scale, complex government programs, preferably within theDoWor Air Force. Additionalyears of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.

  • Provenexpertisewith the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile orSAFeenvironment, including requirements definition, system design, architecture, implementation oversight, and verification/validation.

  • Demonstrated experience in deriving, analyzing, and providing expert recommendations for the decomposition and prioritization of requirementsfor complex, integrated software and hardware systems within Command and Control (C2) and Battle Management Command and Control (BMC2) environments.

  • Experience supporting complexsystem integration and testactivities across multiple environments and release stages.

  • Proficiencyin managing andmaintainingsystem architectures, includingExternal Interface Control Documents (EICD)and architecture artifacts (e.g., OV-I, OV-2, sequence diagrams, use cases).

  • Experience withDevSecOpspipelines,CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated compliance, and software release management.

  • Familiarity with architecture governance, configuration management, and engineering review processes in highly controlled mission environments.

  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including program management, systems engineering, software, cyber, test, operations, and government customers.


Desired Skills:



  • Experience with defense mission systems, command and control platforms, or systemsoperatingin operationally sensitive environments.

  • Familiarity withOpen Architecture (OA)orOpen Mission Systems (OMS)concepts.

  • Knowledge of DoD security and compliance frameworks, includingRMF,NIST,DISA STIGs,JSIG, vulnerability management, and audit/accreditation processes.

  • Experience with model-based systems engineering tools and digital engineering ecosystems.

  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior program leadership and government stakeholders.

  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification (ASEP or CSEP).

  • SAP Program experience preferred
